The Beau Hunks - Contrasts - Digital Download
Basta Music
This is a second collection of early 20th century jazz and popular saxophone favorites by the 9-horn Beau Hunks Soctette. The group, based in Holland, is modeled on American bandleader Paul Whiteman's late 1930s "Sax Soc-tette."
CONTRASTS features the same smooth, joyous and mischievous sax work. Included are novelties like "Hell's Bells" and Raymond Scott's Powerhouse," as well as pop standards such as "Whispering" and Gershwin's "Embraceable You."
The album was produced by Soctette members Robert Veen, Ronald Jansen Heijtmaijer and Gert-Jan Blom. Cover artwork by Raoul Deleo
